Backpack is perfect for collecting notes and tasks. But I missed a dashboard-like overview over my tasks, reminders and calendar events and the possibility to edit and search them a bit more Mac-like. In addition I had to attach them a date and sometimes a priority.
There were some tools out there which did cover some aspects of my needs. But either they did not interact with my beloved Backpack Account or they gave me not the nice dashboard-like overview. Overall - the whole thing did not appear as rocket science to me. Backpack provides a nice XML-API for such cases and Cocoa in combination with Objective-C was more than fun.
